We use .032 wire in the
maxillary arch and .028 in the mandibular.
Our standard
maxillary design uses ball clasps located mesial to the first molars; however,
any type of clasping can be used to suit your needs. The mandibular design
features occlusal rests on the first
molars and an .036 body wire for
added strength.

Features
Adams clasps typically on the first

.036 labial bow with loops contacting
the labial
surface of the cuspids.
The
labial bow is soldered to the
crib on the labial
surface of the Adams clasp.

A good choice for patients
with very tight occlusion where crossing
over the occlusion is undesirable,
or
when some settling of the
occlusion is
desired.
An .036 labial bow is bent
to contact the facial surface of all
of the teeth with
an adjustment loop located at
the cuspids. The
labial
bow contours
around
the buccal and distal surfaces of the terminal molar
and
is then directed into the acrylic plate.

This adaptation of the wraparound
design is intended for those
patients that
may have some difficulty speaking
with
a standard
acrylic palate,
or for
those that may have a severe gag reflex. The bulk
of the palatal acrylic is eliminated
and a horseshoe design is substituted. A strip
of a
special
reinforcing material is incorporated into the acrylic
to prevent breakage.

For
cases when only retention of the anterior teeth
is required. A continuous .028 wire is adapted
to the labial and lingual
surfaces from cuspid to
cuspid.
A strip of clear acrylic
is added to the labial surface and a
strip of acrylic in
any color you
desire is added
to the
lingual surface.

An adaptation of the 3x3 clip,
this design can be used in place
of a
mandibular Hawley
for patients desiring
a less
bulky design.
It
eliminates the lingual
acrylic plate and adds .036 lingual support
wires to the 3x3 clip design. You may wish
to use it as a safer alternative to the
3x3 clip since it is less likely
to become dislodged.

Used for mixed dentition cases, this
appliance holds the permanent central
and lateral incisors
with a 2x2
bow and
is clasped to the
first molars
with Adams
clasps. The acrylic is relieved lingual
to the C's, D's, and E's to allow for
their
exfoliation and the
eruption of
the permanent
cuspids and first
and second
bicuspids.
