Used as an alternative to traditional habit breaking appliances, this fixed appliance utilizes a Teflon roller that spins on a support wire to distract the patient from thumb sucking or tongue thrusting. Colorful beads can be used in place of the Teflon roller to make wearing the appliance more fun. The support wire is soldered to bands on the first molars.
